கேரளாவில் உள்ள கிராம சுற்றுச்சூழல் வளர்ச்சிக்காக ஸ்வதேஷ் தர்ஷன் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ‘மலநாடு மலபார் கடற்பயன சுற்றுலா’ என்னும் திட்டத்திற்கு மத்தியச் சுற்றுலாத் துறை அமைச்சகம் அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது.
2017ம் ஆண்டில் அதிகமாக விமான பயணம் மேற்கொண்டவர்களில் உலக அளவில் இந்தியர்கள் 3ம் இடம் பிடித்துள்ளதாக சர்வதேச விமான போக்குவரத்து கழகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
இப்பட்டியலில் அமெரிக்கர்கள் முதலிடத்திலும், சீனர்கள் 2ம் இடத்திலும் உள்ளனர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
சர்வதேச வான் போக்குவரத்து உச்சி மாநாடு புது டெல்லியில் நடைபெற்றுள்ளது. இந்த உச்சி மாநாடானது மத்திய வான் போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் இந்திய விமான நிலைய ஆணையம் மற்றும் சர்வதேச வான்வழிப் போக்குவரத்து சங்கத்துடன் இணைந்து நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்தியா மற்றும் பல்கேரியா நாடுகளுக்கிடையில் அறிவியல், தொழில்நுட்பம், சுற்றுலா அணுசக்தி மற்றும் பிற துறைகளில் கூட்டுறவை மேற்கொள்ளும் வகையில் இருநாட்டு தலைவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் கையெழுத்தாகி உள்ளது.
இறுதியில், சோபியாவில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு இருந்த மகாத்மா காந்தியின் முழு உருவ சிலையை ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் திறந்து வைத்துள்ளார்.
SLINEX – 2018 – இந்தியா மற்றும் இலங்கை நாடுகளுக்கு இடையேயான நல்லுறவினை வலுப்படுத்துவது மற்றும் கடல் பாதுகாப்பினை உறுதிப்படுத்துவது தொடர்பான கூட்டு கடற்படை போர் பயிற்சி இலங்கையில் உள்ள திரிகோணமலையில் செப்டம்பர் 07 முதல் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

நார்வே நிறுவனமான ஆஃப்சோர் சென்சிங் ஏஎஸ் என்ற நிறுவனத்தால் கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட ‘SB Met’ என்ற பட்கானது, அட்லாண்டிக் கடந்த முதல் ஆளில்லா படகாக (3000 கி.மீ. கடந்து) சாதனைப் படைத்துள்ளது.
